Introduction to Instructional Design

This course was one of the most beneficial of my maters program experience. The class material focused on the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model for designing any course. The schedule of the course allowed for us to learn about each of the different ADDIE stages separately, and then put all of them together in a culminating document portraying the course we designed over the semester. This course and project truly enhanced my ability to use pedagogy and content knowledge to create a meaningful learning environment, while also keeping in mind the diversity of my learners in the process. I will undoubtedly use the ADDIE model in my future teaching assignments because of its organization and all encompassing nature. To finish the course I also created a Voice Thread presentation to feature my designed course, which was tied into my leadership course and website from previous courses.
