Digital Media Production

Digital Media Production was one of the most challenging, and most rewarding classes of my degree program. Because this was a summer course, all of my work had to be completed in a compact four week time period. During that month I had several digital media production projects, one of which was an early assignment where I created a Google Tour. Because of my love of sports I chose to create a tour of all of the Major League Baseball stadiums. If you have the Google Earth application the tour is actually in 3D and much more realistic, however you are still able to enjoy the tour using a traditional web browser. I had some technical issues embedding the site onto this one, but below the screenshot image there is a link to the actual website.

My final project, and the most time consuming, was the creation of my video on how to shoot a free throw. I was able to develop my skill set by learning to use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, and Adobe Premiere Pro. The whole production took days to complete, but it was completely worth it and I felt like this course truly helped me develop skills around digital technologies and the ability to create valuable learning tools through the use of those technologies.
